Dear Diary

I just got back from the carpark and I gave some beer to Jack. I only give it to him because he wants it and he’s my friend. Afterwards I tried to get Becka to do my homework but she said, “No I don’t want to because you always shout at me.”

Well that is true but I don’t want to do it because I'm just so far behind. I hate Becka because she doesn’t do my homework and she took my room and made it look like a magical unicorn puked up in it. There were pink things everywhere. My dad keeps bullying me and now I have bruises everywhere and a black eye. I went to school and everyone keeps teasing me. I don’t know if this is right but I love my dad sometimes because he helps me with basketball and he comes to every game. Sometimes I don’t even like him because he bullies me. My mum and dad always argue about me and it makes me feel depressed. My mum's new boyfriend Brian keeps his stuff in the garage and I took a look in it and found beer. See you next time diary.

I’m as hurtful as a bruise.

P.E. with St Kents

We just exited out of the bus and headed up to the hall. First of all we were split up into small groups. Our group was Team Five.

We practiced passing to each other, we tried it while running. Next we had a go at passing on the spot, it was fun because  I could pass the ball both ways. My partner was the student of St Kents. We learned how to do the spyro pass which is just spinning the ball while passing. We also learned the flick pass which you flick the ball to your team or partner.

After that we did some planting - and not planting a seed. We were planting the ball which means you have to put the ball on the ground and roll it in between your legs so the other player can grab it. When they get in they pass the ball to the other player and they do the same thing again.

We learned those skills to help us play touch. We played against the other team which Kolotina was in. Dakpie was almost as fast as a cheetah We scored one and the other team that played scored one as well. We went back to the hall. “Look at that boy do slam dunks!” said Min Zin.

I felt contented.

Mission Impossible

25 April 1915

Dear Uncle Sam
Firstly, we were sailing on the rough sea, when we saw something, we were getting closer and closer. We saw the sand and heard gun shots every where. “Open the sails” shouted Don. He shouted as loud as a gun shot

Afterwards we arrived at the beach and walked to search for a spot to keep safe.

When we found a place we built trenches that were 6 x 5 feet - dugged out caves and soon it was night. Guns shot everywhere. I was lucky a bullet hit my button on my ANZAC coat. We went back to our trenches and had a rest. We were only allowed to drink a little bit of water because we only had one bottle of water. It was a rough day and we were hungry.

Next my mate Pita had brought some ANZAC biscuits and we all rushed to him and he had to share. We only had one biscuit each because he had two packets. We then went to sleep but it was hard because of the loud noise from gunshots. It was dawn and we woke up. I had a sip from my bottle of water and climbed out of my trench.

Finally,  I then put my coat on and the battle soon began again. When we retreated back we were tired and we were all sad because my mate Simon died. We went on and the sun went down. It was a lovely sunset and we settled down to rest.

by your loving son, Don
