How much do you know about planets?
There are many kinds of planets in outer space. I will be writing about Pluto. This is a report about planets. Not just any planet. . . . The planets I think are special. The planets I think that are special are earth, mars, jupiter and pluto, which is a dwarf planet.

Pluto Facts

Did you know that pluto is the second biggest dwarf planet in space?Pluto is named after the Roman god of the underworld not a disney character. For many years, Pluto was thought of as the farthest known planet from the Sun.

Planet Facts
the planets go in order which is this order from sun, mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus and neptune.

mercury is the closest planet to the sun and is also known as mercurio. its star system is the solar system.its parent star is the sun,and its orbit is the sun.its surface temperature is 66.85.c

Venus is west of the Sun, she rises before the Sun in the morning and is known as the Morning Star.  When she is east of the Sun, she shines in the evening just after sunset and is known as the Evening Star.

earth is the third closest planet to the sun and is the only planet with life on it .earth is 80% water and 20% land. 100 planets of earth will be the size of one of our suns.

mars is known as the fourth closest planet to the sun. Befitting the red planet's bloody color, the Romans named it after their god of war. The Romans copied the ancient Greeks, who also named the planet after their god of war, Ares. Other civilizations also typically gave the planet names based on its color — for example, the Egyptians named it "Her Desher," meaning "the red one," while ancient Chinese astronomers dubbed it "the fire star."

jupiter is the fifth closest planet to the sun. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. Fittingly, it was named after the king of the gods in Roman mythology. In a similar manner, the ancient Greeks named the planet after Zeus, the king of the Greek pantheon.

saturn is the sixth closest to the planet.Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest planet in the solar system. Although the other gas giants in the solar system — Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune — also have rings, those of Saturn are without a doubt the most extraordinary.
Saturn was the Roman name for Cronus, the lord of the Titans in Greek mythology. Saturn is the root of the English word "Saturday."

uranus is the seventh closest planet to the sun and is also known as urano.the person wc william herschel
and he discovered uranus on march 13,1781.its star system is the solar system.its parent star is the sun.

neptune is the eighth closest planet to the sun and is also known as neptuno.the person who discovered neptune is urbain le verrier.he discovered neptune on september 23,1846.neptunes star system is the solar system.

i learnt that pluto is named after a god.i also learnt that pluto is not a planet because it is not like the other eight planets.i learnt how the robot on mars landed.
